Sen. Abubakar Bagudu

Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, born on December 26, 1961 in Gwandu, Kebbi State, is a seasoned economist and politician with degrees from Usmanu Danfodiyo University, the University of Jos, and Columbia University. He has served as Senator for Kebbi Central (2009–2015) and as Governor of Kebbi State (2015–2023) before being appointed Honourable Minister of Budget & Economic Planning in August 2023. In his current role, he oversees national fiscal planning, budgeting, and policy coordination to drive sustainable economic development in Nigeria.
