Mark Okoye II is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the South East Development Commission (SEDC), where he leads strategic interventions to accelerate inclusive growth and infrastructure development across Nigeria’s South East region.
A dynamic public sector reformer, he previously served as Commissioner for Economic Planning, Budget and Development Partners in Anambra State — one of the youngest appointees in Nigeria’s Fourth Republic. He has also held key leadership roles as Executive Director of the Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency (ANSIPPA) and Senior Special Assistant on Investments to the Governor.
An alumnus of George Washington University, Mark brings extensive experience in investment promotion, public finance management, and policy innovation. He is a member of the Obama Foundation Leaders: Africa cohort and has received multiple recognitions for excellence in public service and youth leadership.
