Aisha Augie is the Director-General of the Centre for Black and African Arts & Civilization (CBAAC) under Nigeria’s Ministry of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy. In this role, she oversees programmes that preserve and promote African cultural heritage, while also advancing opportunities for the creative economy.
Prior to her current appointment, she served as Special Adviser on Digital Communications Strategy to the Federal Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, and as Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the Governor of Kebbi State. She has also worked extensively in photography, film, and media, bringing a creative industry lens to governance and cultural policy.
