Mr. Afolabi S. Imoukhuede

Afolabi Imoukhuede is a certified Human Capital Strategist, nationally respected policy advisor, author, and CEO of PIER Investments Limited. He is the author of “Never an Afterthought”, a memoir chronicling his journey from private-sector pragmatism to impactful public service. He served as Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to President Muhammadu Buhari on Job Creation (2015–2023), where he led the N-Power Job Creation Scheme under the National Social Investment Programme, driving large-scale youth employment across agriculture, construction, retail, renewable energy, and the digital economy.

An accountant by training and international development consultant by practice, he has deep expertise in TVET, enterprise development, and strategic public–private partnerships. He is the initiator of the #SkillUp Initiative, a nationally recognized technical skills programme developed in partnership with both local and global awarding bodies such as City & Guilds of London.

Today, he plays a leading role in shaping Nigeria’s National Job Creation Architecture as a key adviser on Strategic Partnerships and Secretariat Lead for the National Job Creation Working Group (NJWG) under the Delivery Unit in the Office of the Vice President, with active support for the enhanced Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP 2.0) and Policy Dialogues on Job Creation: Youth Employment and Enterprise.

A sought-after thought leader and public speaker, he is passionate about youth empowerment, skills development, economic inclusion, and nation building.
